Getting Started Guide

How to get started with web conferencing

Welcome to web conferencing with Express Virtual Meetings.

Before You Web Conference

1) Download Infoshare

Before you start web conferencing with Express Virtual Meetings, you need to download our web conferencing client, Infoshare.

2) Log In and Select Your Meeting Type

After entering your username and password, you will need to select the type of meeting you want to host. Infoshare enables you to:

  • conduct interactive meetings
  • hold HD video conferences
  • host webinars
  • provide remote support
  • receive remote assistance

Interactive Meetings

To host a standard web conference, such as a team meeting, we recommend selecting Interactive Meeting. This allows you and your attendees to show and control each other's screens. To hold an interactive meeting, everyone will need to download Infoshare.

If you are simply holding a one-way presentation, we recommend selecting Webinar. This allows your attendees to view your presentation through a standard web browser.

Video Conferencing

If you want to hold a video conference, select HD Video Conference. This way you can use webcams to see each other.

3) Schedule or Start Your Meeting

You can schedule your web conference for a particular time in the future, or you can start your web conference immediately.

4) Invite Attendees To Your Web Conference

If you have scheduled your meeting, your mail client will open up containing your web conferencing URL, meeting ID and password (if you set one). If you would like your participants to use their computer speakers and mic, please remove the dial-in number and access codes information from your invitation.

Note: as host, you must specifiy whether all attendees need to use a telephone, or use their computer microphone and speakers.

For more information on getting started with Infoshare, please download the getting started user guide.

During Your Web Conference

Once all your participants are connected to your web conference, you can then begin to:

  • show your screen
  • share control
  • change presenter
  • start chats
  • annotate your screen
  • conduct polls
  • record your meeting

For more information on how to do these things, please read the Infoshare user guide.

After Your Web Conference

Once your conference is finished, simply close Infoshare to end your meeting. All attendees will be removed from the conference.

To access your reports and to see information on who attended, open Infoshare and select Tools, then Report. A full report displaying all meetings held will open in your browser. You can expand or reduce the date range at the top of the report. You can also expand the details of a specific meeting by clicking on the Meeting ID highlighted in blue.
